Ruby and GINGER was established by two mums with a passion for business and for creating good quality parenting solutions that are truly beneficial for both parents and children.
Co-founded in 2009 by friends and new mums, Liz and Brenda named the company after their first children – Ruby and Noah (AKA GINGER, known for his gorgeous red hair).
Their range of innovative baby accessories are both practical and stylish. “Everything we design is done with practicality, safety and style in mind” says the entrepreneurial duo.
The original Nappy Purse with Travel Change Mat is the perfect mini changing bag. This compact change bag holds 3 large disposable nappies and comes with a refillable wipes case and a matching foldaway travel change mat. Ideal for parents on the move.
Their Cosy Car Seat Cover is fast becoming the baby safety essential, endorsed by leading car seat safety experts. The Cosy Cover keeps baby warm whilst removing the risk of overheating and allowing the all-important correct harness tension offering baby maximum protection.
Ruby and GINGER went one step further to make their products stand out from the crowd by designing their own unique fabric patterns. Each pattern was designed to appeal to a different style of mum.
Last year Liz and Irish born Brenda travelled to Ireland and after a tough pitch to the famous Dragons Brenda and Liz secured investment. “A nerve racking experience but one to remember!” says Liz.
Ruby and GINGER have a celebrity following that includes Dannii Minogue, Zoe Ball and Tess Daly among others.
Last year their Nappy Purse was awarded a Highly Commended award in the Nursery Industry Awards for Best Change Brand and is shortlisted again this year.
The original Cosy Car Seat Cover is shortlisted in the Mother & Baby Awards for Best Safety Brand 2014! The products in the awards are tested by real Mums and only the best products have been selected to be in the Mother & Baby Awards.
The future is bright…the future is Ruby and GINGER!
