My Storksak Elizabeth by Zoe

Storksak Elizabeth

Choosing a changing bag was one of the things was most excited about when I got pregnant with my first child. Being a bit of a bag nut, I spent hours browsing websites , marvelling at the vast range on the market. I knew I didnt want something that would scream mummy! but rather a more stylish affair that I could perhaps repurpose as a work bag once my maternity leave was over.

The bag I chose was the Storksak Elizabeth in tan and my lovely mum gave it to me for my birthday. Crafted from buttery soft leather with a canvas cross-body strap to add urban chic, it has a practical wipe-clean lining and lots of handy interior pockets and compartments to keep even the most frazzled and sleep-deprived new mum super-organised. A foldable changing mat, bottle insulator and attachable zip-up pouch come as part of the package.

The Elizabeth is big enough to fit all the essentials you need for a day out with your little one spare clothes and muslins plus plenty of nappies and wipes without feeling oversized. It also has two exterior pockets for phone and purse. The tan leather is classic, will go with everything and will never date and, having had this bag for 3 years and now using it for baby number 2 who arrived in May, I can vouch for the fact it just gets better and better with age.

And the repurposing? Well, my Elizabeth has accompanied me on countless work trips and can easily fit a laptop, iPad and A4 folder or notebook and those brilliant interior pockets are just as good for organizing my own bits and pieces. (And occasionally Ive fished out an Ellas Kitchen fruity snack or a teething toy whilst in a meeting) Ive also used it as a carry-on bag for long haul flights. Ive had lots of compliments and Im always met with astonishment when I tell people its a baby changing bag! And when you consider that youd pay 800 or more for a bag this size from Mulberry or Marc Jacobs, 250 is a great price.

The Elizabeth bag also comes in black, chalk, dove grey and black quilted plus seasonal limited edition shades.
