Lincoln Parenting Craft Classes

My name is Christine Harding (Chris), I am a community midwife in Lincoln and feel extremely lucky to be in a position to share such a unique and precious time in people's lives.
I qualified as a midwife in 1996 after following a dream I had from a young age , and have never looked back.
My true passion now is providing antenatal classes in lincoln and surrounding areas.
The classes I offer are one to one antenatal classes in the comfort of your home for you and your birth partner, or a small group of friends if you have others you know that are expecting too.
During the classes we discuss various stages of labour and ways you can manage each stage, birth choices, active birth, birth partner's role (very important!), skin to skin contact, baby's first hour of life, feeding your baby and transition to parenthood.
As the classes are on a one to one basis it allows you to discuss anything specific to you, your pregnancy and birth. The classes can be flexible to suit your needs and arranged at a date and time to fit in with you and your birth partner.
Benefits of these individualised classes include ensuring an instant relaxed and familiar environment for you and your birth partner and to make you feel that the classes are unique to you, allowing time for you to ask any questions that you may have.
The more prepared you are for pregnancy, birth and labour, the less anxious you are likely to be which will enable your body to do the most powerful , wonderful thing that it is designed to do.
Becoming a parent is a wonderful, yet sometimes challenging time in our lives and I aim to make this transition an enjoyable and fulfilling experience whilst providing realistic and honest information and advice.
For more information please contact me and I will be happy to discuss your classes with you.

Quotes from parents
“The kind support offered by Chris was invaluable as a new mum. She was a lifeline for me.”
(Chantelle, mum to Lyra)
“Chris has been a very influential and supportive part of my journey in becoming a mother. She is always approachable, ready to listen and keen to give advice and top tips!”
(Stacey, mum to Logan & Darcey)
“We both found the parentcraft classes an enjoyable and invaluable experience. I felt far less worried about the idea of labour and giving birth having learnt more about what to expect. The Midwife, Chris Harding, was clear, open and honest and we always felt that we could ask any questions. I felt she worked hard to create a friendly, fun and encouraging environment. My husband tells me he felt reassured knowing that I felt more reassured and had a greater understanding of the birth process. Overall, we feel very fortunate to have met Chris and would like to convey our many thanks.”
(Naomi, mum to Harvey)
“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to carry out our Antenatal classes. Chris’ knowledge was invaluable and the delivery of her classes were relaxed, fun, and very comfortable (We also loved the charts and props!!).
Chris has a fantastic way of interacting to make us both feel a part of the class so it’s not just all about what happens to the woman. We both feel more relaxed and at ease about the forthcoming labour and birth. Thanks Loads Chris!”
