Keungzai Maternity wear - loved by celebrities

Tuesday, 19 March 2013  |  Mummy and Little Me

We asked Michelle Lee the designer and owner of the lovely new Maternity brand Keungzai to write a few words for us about why she created her label.... hope you enjoy!

Sick of frumpy maternity wear? Don’t fancy wearing Breton striped tops? Or frilly dresses? Neither did I. That’s why I created my own label, Keungzai. A versatile women’s and maternity label to serve style-savvy women, mothers and mums-to-be.

When I fell pregnant just over 3 years ago, I was working in London, for a fashion e-tailer and the last thing I wanted to do was throw my individual style out the window for an obligatory-mumsy-wardrobe. Fast-forward to the present day and I’m proud to say my label Keungzai is now just 1 year old loved by celebrities such as Sienna Miller; the collection is crafted and finished in the UK to ensure we’re supporting our homegrown skills and manufacturing industry. The pieces are designed using premium materials including luxury micromodal jersey and silks which means it feels superbly soft against your skin and flows beautifully over your ever-changing shape. Better still, the designs are not only desirable but also versatile which means they look just as great post-partum as they do with a bump - delivering true investment pieces that are designed to last far beyond your 9 months of pregnancy.

One of our key looks this season is the Ruched Asymmetric Dress. The beautiful French navy colour offers a timeless hue to a drapey and ruched detail dress which looks fabulous worn with bump and will still look super flattering post-partum without a bump.

Another key look for the season is our Luxe Draped Back Dress,as seen in  Mummy and little me's fabulous What Kate M would wear section  this beautifully, soft and fluid dress makes a statement for this Spring with the season’s catwalk go-to bright.

We aim to blur the boundaries between womens wear and maternity wear - no longer are you bound to wearing frilly, mumsy, frumpy attire; welcome chic and luxurious additions to your wardrobe with Keungzai.
