Kate Middleton's Maternity Wardrobe

People here in the UK, and worldwide, are very excited that Catherine, (or Kate ) Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William are expecting their first baby in July this year.
In fact here at Mummy & Little Me we are so excited that we had a little bit of fun the other day imagining Kate coming on a trip to Yorkshire and paying us a visit!  We got so involved in our little daydream (it was a cold January day, what else could we do?) that we even worked out how we would dress her and what she would like in our shop. It's safe to say we got a little carried away and that's when we came up with Mummy and Little Me's take on Kate's Maternity Wardrobe (we all have to dream!).

Often fondly known by her maiden name 'Kate Middleton', all eyes are on Kate as her bump grows and, of course, what maternity choices she will be wearing.

Kate is already a revered fashion icon, having featured on many 'best dressed' lists, including Vanity Fair's international best-dressed 2008, and it is our bet that she will she now become a Maternity Style Icon!

To many, Kate is loved because she dons accessible fashion.  Kate loves the higher-end High Street brands like Reiss, Zara, and L.K. Bennett, as well as choosing some, often British, couture pieces.  Any High Street items she is photographed wearing often become hugely sought after and immediate sell-out pieces.

Kate knows her style and dresses for what suits her, rather than following trends.  Kate portrays classic elegance, and if we had to chance to dress her, this is what Mummy & Little Me would choose for Kate's Maternity Wardrobe.

Kate is a fan of the outdoors, so when out walking with her family, we would put her in our  gorgeous cerise top with cute neck tie, teamed with a pair of classic Skinny Jeans

She can tuck them into her boots in the great outdoors, or team them with flat ballet pumps in the warmer months. As a taller lady, Kate will love the length of Noppies jeans.

When the weather warms up, Kate is likely to attend garden parties, and for this, our soft floral maternity skirt will be perfect:

Kate's public appearances involve her looking smart, but accessible, and this crisp Vaness Knox white shirt, will work well with a classic Vanessa Knox maternity pencil skirt, or even teamed up with her skinny jeans for a dressed-down look.

Kate is tall and svelte (lucky lady!!) so for cocktail party gatherings, we would put her in this stunning 9Fashion dress, with a pretty bow above the bump, this will flatter her bump and is a style that Kate could wear now or later in her pregancy:

When attending Red Carpet events we think Kate would look stunning in this floor length maternity gown by Vanessa Knox:

For state visits, Kate would suit the 'Floria' by Vanessa Knox; conserative enough but with lovely detailing.

When visiting galleries and museums, Kate's look is classic but comfortable, and for this we would put her in the Vanessa Knox 'Hallie':

Kate will need maternity lingerie that will flatter the clothing choices she makes and keep her feeling comfortable and supported whilst her body is going through many changes. This pretty set by Amoralia, available in several colours, is perfect!

To complete her outfits, Kate often chooses classic court shoes, so she will need some of these great quality Noppies maternity tights to support her growing bump:

Whilst at home relaxing with William, thisultra soft cotton cami set from Amoralia will be perfect.  If Kate chooses to nurse once baby arrives, this cute cami can also be used for nursing and won't be too hot in the summer months!

When July comes around and the Royal baby arrives, Kate will need a changing bag, and for her, a classic leather changing bag in a neutral colour is a must. The Storksak 'Elizabeth' limited edition in chalk is perfect for her, and a Royal name too!

We're sure that Kate will be treated to lots of lovely gifts during her pregnancy, and here is the perfect present William can buy to pamper her as her bump grows, and beyond:

Kate and William will want only the best for their little royal baby, and EVERY baby deserves a Sophie the Giraffe; this luxurious blanket and Sophie set will be just right:
