Aden + Anais Serenity Star Review

Wednesday, 21 August 2013  |  Mummy and Little Me

Helen and her son Noah love their new serenity star so much they have written us a blog ...... THanks :)

As a first time mum bringing my little boy home from hospital was incredibly exciting but also absolutely terrifying! What if the room was too hot or cold? What if he cries and cries and nothing seems to pacify him? Endless worries go around your head. Whilst I will never stop worrying about him, the Aden and Anais Serenity Star has been a godsend.

Since Noah’s birth we have had blizzards and extreme heat waves, yet the Serenity Star has given us piece of mind. It glows blue when it is too cold, and glows red when too hot, during ambient temperature it emits a white glow. It is great to glance at in the night for reassurance as well as acting as a nightlight.

In addition to this it has been wonderful in ridding us of sleepless nights. The white noise can be played for either 30 minutes, one hour or continuously and means our little boy has slept for 12 hours a night since two months old. Other parents have blinked at me in disbelief and yes occasionally he does wake up, but it soothes him back to sleep quickly. The adjustable volume is great, we’ve had the windows open in hot weather and it has masked the traffic noise outside. When Noah moves into his own room next month I think I will miss the star helping me go to sleep.

It has other great features too, such as different lullabies and a feeding diary. It is a favourite at Grandma’s (the temperature can be displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit) and is always in the overnight bag.

A brilliant product that I would not be without, it looks stylish too!
