PacaPod Black Portland Baby Changing Bag

Needed something smart that both my husband and I would be comfortable carrying and this is it.

Love the pods. Easy organisation makes trips out with the little one a lot less stressfull.

If you are looking for a changing bag that is stylish yet practical and durable with plenty of room to fit all baby's and your nick-nacks in it then look no further. This bag has lots of different compartments so you will never loose your phone, wallet or keys in the bottom of the bag. I am a firm believer in 'buy cheap buy twice', and although this is a higher priced product and would therefore put a few people off, I am 100% confident that it will last for years as it is so well made with extremely durable fabric.
The bag can be extended in width so you can use it for a quick trip out with a little less bulk or for full days out when you have to take everything but the kitchen sink.
Other bags that I looked at felt extremely uncomfortable to wear across the shoulders but this one has a shoulder pad which stops it from digging in. There are also detachable velcro clips that you can attach on to the handle bar of your buggy and these then clip onto the side strap D-rings of the bag.
I also love the removable internal cool bag and inner cargo hold which are made to fit perfectly inside the bag.
As a product designer myself I am very rarely impressed by a faultless design as I can usually always find something that needs to be improved upon, but there really isn't anything that hasn't been thought about in the design of this changing bag.
I seriously couldn't be happier with my purchase.

As for the bag itself, it was very promising, but not quite accomplished my high expectations.

The quality is superb so if you are looking for a sturdy, good-looking and stylish changing bad, then it would be the right choice. It is big, but actually does not accommodate as much as I would imagine. The idea of separate pods is brilliant. However, I found the pods surprisingly small. It is hard to fit a full-size packet of wipes (I have to take some wipes out) into the changer pod. I would never fit spare clothes for my daughter into the small box that the changer pod contains. I put them into the middle compartment which when both the pods are in makes the bag too bulky. Luckily at the moment I only use the changer pod as I breastfeed and do not need any bottles, etc.
I do like the changing mat included in the changer pod, as it is very soft and has got a fleece 'cushion' to put your child's head on while changing. I have to say though that the pocket for the mat seems to be a bit shallow (=smallish).

I cannot say yet how functional the feeder pod is.

All in all, the bag is big, but because of this it is easy to overload it and then carrying it is no pleasure.
Also i find it difficult to hang the bag on the straps that are attached to the prams handle by velcros. The reason is that the bag's side metal rings that you need to insert into the loops on the straps are quite thick and the loops won't open fully.

I like the bag more than my previous changing bag, but it is not yet the ideal one.

I was given a free gift - the toy pod which I think will be very handy when my daughter gets a bit bigger. The pod can be carried as a rucksack. It looks lovely.

I have yet to use my pacapod as waiting for baby to make an appearance any day now but love the high quality look of it. I spent ages looking at bags online before deciding. Mummy and Little Me had great incentive of a toy changer pod free with purchase which I love also. E-mails kept me up to date on my order and delivery was as stated and came very well packaged. This bag sounded great in the description � a separate bag for changing, feeding, and a further three pockets in the bag for use by parents, or for toys etc. In fact it was just what I was looking for, one bag that would let me carry all my daughter's changing and feeding things, plus extra space for my stuff and maybe a couple of toys. My current bag allowed for the changing things, toys etc, but not really my stuff, and there wasn't a separate space or compartment for food.

However, this bag doesn't really fit anything in. Re the changer pod � I found that this only fitted in two size 3 nappies, if I'm out for any length of time two nappies really aren't enough for me. The section for the wipes does fit a standard pack of 75 wipes, but if the pack is new and full then it is difficult to put the changing mat in the back pocket and slot the changing pod in place in the bag. Once you've added the nappy sacks, some cotton wool and cream, the side pocket is really tight and difficult to squeeze anything in. The little bag at the bottom which is for spare clothes I found can only fit a bodysuit and something else small, or only a sleepsuit.

With the feeder pod, I also use the Avent bottles that the feeder pod is advertised with. However, once you have fitted in two bottles and a couple of cartons there isn't really any room for anything else, eg a small bottle of water. With bottle feeding, when I am out and about I always use the cartons rather than rely on a cafe to give me hot water. Therefore, I also need to take scissors, plus tissues, a bib and muslin cloth for spills. The feeder pod doesn't seem to accommodate these extras, so when in a cafe or restaurant, I still need two bags on the table.

The space in the rest of the bag is also very limited. Even when the bag is fully extended, the space in the main parent compartment is very small, especially when the changing and feeder pods are in place. There isn't much 'give' to the whole bag, and the opening of the main parent compartment is quite tight. It certainly could not fit in any soft toys, and I do find that a toy distraction is useful when changing. I now use a bag that is made of soft material (cloth) that can be stretched.

Overall I was very disappointed with bag, with the price tag I did expect a bag big enough to accommodate everything I would need for days out while keeping the changing and feeding items separate.

Great back and the service from Mummy & Little Me amazing. Ordered the bag on Thursday night and it arrived Saturday morning- I was so happy to be able to use it straight away! Great for keeping organised and plenty of room to store a few toys too! Very stylish too! Highly recommend it.

These bags are great, if you are already a fairly organised mum like me then I am sure you will appreciate a bag that has a section for everything - I love the fact that there is aplce for everything - plus my husband will quite happliy use it - well done Pacapod

Fantastic bag. Great for keeping changing gear separate from food. Love that the feeder pod is a cool bag and that their are so many labelled pockets in the changer pod. It's amazing how much stuff you can pack in the Portland due to it's expandable panel. Enough for an overnight stay.

I've had a few changing bags but this is by far the best. The pods are a brilliant idea and the fact that it can be expanded is excellent. I like the fact that you can sling it over your buggys handles or clip on using the rings. Wished I'd found this changing bag first!! Well worth the money. Great customer service from mummy and little me I will be returning again.
