Have you packed your hospital bag?

Tuesday, 10 June 2014  |

This time the third trimester has come around so quickly. Much quicker than I anticipated. I suppose with a 4 year old and various appointments/admissions to hospital time doesn't go as slowly.

I have taken the time the past few weeks to look around for those extra little bits for when bump arrives from packing hospital bags for both of us to those first few weeks.

Bump's hospital bag is a lovely blue Pegasus from Babymule but I love this Green Babymule classic as it has lots of room and comes with wet bags. You can also use messenger or rucksack style so great for handsfree too http://www.mummyandlittleme.co.uk/baby-mule-bags/baby-mule-green-and-grey-changing-bag.html

My hospital bag is the tan Tan & Teal bag

. I have used this for a few weeks now. You can see what I think of it here

I am having a planned c-section so it has been a bit of a different planning experience for my bag. I also intend to breastfeed. Here is what I suggest to pack....

Mama Essentials
Breast Pads
Comfy Melba PyjamasI have chosen these as they are more lounge wear so if you stay in overnight you will feel a bit more normal.
Loo Boo Magic Balm
Maternity Pads
Maternity underwear (throwaway pants are a great idea)
A towel
Toiletries - toothpaste, toothbrush, face wipes, dry shampoo, a small mirror, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner
And don't forget your notes!

Boy bump may need a bit more in his bag than me. We all know baby often needs changing frequently but they actually need less then you will try to pack! Here are a few picks

Baby Essentials
Swaddles
Baby blanket - . Just perfect for mummy's little star!
Nappies and resuable wipe kit, called Cheeky Wipes
Onesies or sleepsuits  so cute

When did you start to think about your hospital bag?
