What would your parenting advice be to your friends?

When you bring your baby into the world you are thrown into a new way of life pretty much straight away. It can be so daunting as well as exciting. Thats why I asked a few of my online antenatal and post natal group #BlogBumpClub for their snippets of advice for new mums and here they are….let’s see if you agree.
Karen - There will be bad days. Persevere. The good will always outweigh the bad. You are doing a great job.
Vi - Don't worry about what everyone else is doing.
Emily - some days you wont feel like it but you can and will get through anything
Kate - Get out to baby groups as early as you can. Having company with other new mum's helps get you through the hardest days and make the good days even more fun.
Rebecca - You can ignore most of the advice. Especially from the people who push it on you when you haven't asked for it.
Hannah - There is no such thing as a silly question, we are all just winging it after all!
Amy - Some health care professionals are stupid, or wrong. You don't have to believe them just because of their job title!
Emma - Go go with your gut, and that it'll be both harder work and way more fun than you expect.
Abigail - This too shall pass! & that the days are long but the years are short.
Michelle - No child ever deliberately starved themselves
Lucy - You will be given lots of advice choose only to follow the advice that you agree with and that fits you and your family. (This will probably not come from your mother or mother-in-law).
and my most favourite is from Lucy who says 'Read the baby not the book!’ It is so so true! Babies are so different and those early days can feel never ending but this just goes to show that parenthood is so unique. What gems of advice would you pass on?
