New Baby, New Changing bag

NEW BABY, NEW CHANGING BAG
I am a firm believer that each new baby should have a new changing bag. Mainly because after daily use for at least two years, mine look fairly tatty, and also because it's a nice treat for Mummy. Yes, changing bags can be expensive, but for the amount of use they get, I think they're worth every penny. As nice as they are, I put all my handbags on hold with babies - in fact I've hardly used one in over five years since Harry was born - so I believe in investing in a stylish, quality changing bag.
I have recently ordered the Babymel Robyn Mid Blue Backpack changing bag, which is available from Mummy & Little Me: the Baby Changing Bag experts since 2006. If you're looking for one, get in quickly because they're even offering two free gifts with all changing bags. I have always bought the traditional style changing bags before - Cath Kidston and Pink Lining - which were both excellent, but I have come round to the idea that being hands-free with a backpack is actually quite a good idea! So I've settled on this little beauty for the new baby, and I simply adore the colour.
This particular style features an insulated bottle holder, which may be useful if I ever have the time and energy to express, integrated stroller straps, SIX pockets for bits and bobs, and the thing I am most excited about - a built-in easy-wipes side pocket which allows you to keep baby wipes clean and moist, and a dispenser slot to pull the wipes through! I am hoping this will stop me pulling eight wipes out of the packet at a time because I only have half a hand free. It also comes with a machine washable padded changing mat - padding is very important if this baby is anything like as fussy as his older brothers - and a wipe-clean lining throughout. You can carry it in four different ways which is very clever - as a backpack, a shoulder bag, a cross-body bag, or handheld.
I of course want to use it straight away, but my more prudent husband has convinced me to save it for the new baby; I suppose that's only fair really. Let's hope he has blue eyes to match the bag!
