Jodie's gives 10 out of 10 for Pacapod Firenze

I have a huge obsession with changing bags and I own a few luxurious ones such as Jem + Bea, Tiba + Marl, Bax + Bay Cub Bag, I've even tested out a couple of Kerikit bags just for reviewing purposes but I've never had a Pacapod before. I have always wanted one as I am quite an organised person and I love everything to have its own place so the pod system really appeals to me, it is something that sets Pacapod apart from its competitors. I have been very lucky to have been sent a beautiful pebbled leather Firenze bag from Pacapod to review, I won't lie I did squeal with delight as in a previous blog post I named this exact bag my number 2 favourite changing bag ever! so to get my hands on one in real life is an absolute dream come true.

My first thoughts is that it is a little bit bigger than I imagined in my head but it isn't too big (I'm really picky) and I thought that it's even more beautiful in the flesh. I have been using it daily for the past week or so now and I'm smitten. As well as looking like a high-end designer handbag it is super functional! Even though my daughter is 2 I don't see us ditching a changing bag anytime soon, this is a bag that you can use as a luxurious handbag long after your child is grown up and the leather will just look better with age. I've had tonnes of compliments from friends and family over my new bag and I've been showing it to everyone at any given opportunity. I just wish that I had discovered it sooner as it would have made my life so much easier from day 1. I am sure that the best is yet to come as I can imagine this bag coming into its own if I ever have another child as it would be perfectly adequate for storing everything for a toddler and a baby. It would be the perfect hospital or weekend bag too.

  • My favourite things about it are:
  • It's very spacious with separate zipped sides one for the mother and one for the baby.
  • Comes with 2 pods - a changer pod and a feeding pod.
  • The pockets in the pods are labelled with handy little tags telling you what to store in them. This attention to detail really sealed the deal for me, it was at this moment that I feel in love with it.
  • Comes with a changing mat and a clothes bag.
  • Key fob so you never need to rummage in your bag for your keys again.
  • Comes with pram clips, these are great quality and very easy to use.
  • Comes with a long strap so you have the option to carry it over your shoulder or across your body.
  • Also features large zipper pulls, metal feet and beautiful gold hardware.

Basically this bag is designed to look gorgeous whilst making your life as a new mum easier and I'm very impressed with how Pacapod have literally thought of everything that you might need to carry and made a place for it. This bag will fit in a laptop in very nicely too. I imagine setting off to work in a morning with my little one in tow, dropping her off at nursery with her feeding pod and then being on my merry way to work as it will function as a stylish work bag too. No need to carry 2 bags with you. I also love how each pod can be attached on their own to the pram handle or even to car head rest during a long journey. They are very versatile. The pods are the star of the show I really love the pod organisation system a lot more than I thought I would as it's just so handy, everything is there and has its own place. The Feeding Pod - is all thermo insulated so it will keep your toddlers lunch cool or bottles warm, it comes with a separate thermo bottle holder too and has a zipped pocket perfect for cutlery (so the tab tells me). It has a transparent front pocket which would be useful to store a personalised picture in if your child wanted to use it for nursery as it has padded straps so your little one can use it as a backpack too, genius. The Changer Pod - It has a handy pocket at the back where the changing mat is stored. Inside there are lots of net pockets for everything you might need for a nappy change even down to a little bag for storing clean or soiled clothes in. My favourite thing is the small side zipped pocket which as the label shows me is for medication! what a great thought! These pods are very hygienic as it keeps your childs food completely separate to the nappy changing items.  Overall I love this bag and I recommend it to any parent whether you have a newborn or a toddler, I do think that it would be especially helpful if you have more than one child. I love this putty colour as I find it very classy. You can also buy it in this chocolate colour or check out the brand new just released pewter colour, I expect the pewter to be a huge hit this season. At £265 this bag isn't cheap but I definitely think that it is worth the price as it will last for many years and see you through more than one child. The only things that I would change if I could are

  • I would make the cross body strap wider as I find that it can be uncomfortable because it's quite narrow.
  • I would have it come with a cotton dustbag rather than the organza bag as I find it a bit cheap looking.
Overall I give this bag a 10/10 for looks and practicality and I can't recommend it enough. I also recommend checking out the other luxurious leather Pacapod bags such as the Jasper (which I have my eye on) or the Madison. Jodie x Disclaimer: I have been sent this bag in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions here are my own. --
